RSVP Help

How do I use this feature?
This feature lets guests RSVP online, then notifies you when you get a new response. We keep track of all RSVPs, the guest names in each party, and even their meal choices if you want. Plus, we add it all up so you have your latest headcount at the click of a mouse. The RSVP Tracker also allows you to modify or add RSVPs, and assign place card names and table seating so you can send the form to your calligrapher.

To use this feature, just follow these easy steps:
  1. Select WEDDING WEBSITE on the left navigation bar on YOUR HOMEPAGE.
  2. Click ON next to "This page is is currently".
  3. If you'd like to track the specific meal preferences of your attending guests, click ON next to "Meal option on RSVP form is currently" and enter as many as three brief menu descriptions.
  4. Click SAVE on the control panel.
  5. To see the Online RSVP Form as your guests will see it, click PREVIEW in the top right corner of the control panel.

To modify any of the menu descriptions presented to your guests, follow these steps:

  1. Click EDIT MEAL OPTIONS on the Online RSVP Form control panel to display the text entry boxes.
  2. Highlight the information you want to edit and type in your desired changes.
  3. Click SAVE on the control panel.

Note: Subsequently turning meal options OFF or editing an individual menu description will clear any previously saved guest meal preference. For example, if the description of a specific Meal Option is changed from "vegetarian" to "beef", all of your attending guests who had "vegetarian" selected as their preference will be reset to no preference. You'll then need to manually select a new meal preference for each of these guests in order to estimate a menu breakdown.

What are etiquette appropriate ways for me to tell my guests how to RSVP online?

There are three etiquette appropriate ways to incorporate your online RSVP into your wedding invitations, but you must first consider how many of your guests have email access before making a choice.

Option 1. Most people will want to incorporate the online RSVP onto their response card, as some guests may not have access to email.

Option 2. If you are not including response cards with your invitations, traditional etiquette is for guests to respond with a handwritten note. However, response cards have become so common that many guests may not realize that this is the appropriate way to reply. If you chose not to include response cards, it is acceptable to offer the option to RSVP online as an alternative to a handwritten reply on your reception card as shown in the example below.

Option 3. Only in extremely rare circumstances, such as when the wedding is small and informal, is it acceptable to give guests the option of replying only via an online response. If this is the case, and you are absolutely certain that each guest has a personal email address that they use often, you may include your request for an online response on the reception card.

How do I create a password to protect my online RSVP form?

You can create a password to control who has access to your online RSVP page, as well as personal wedding details. By deciding who knows your guest password, you can limit access to your website.

Unless you have strong reasons for limiting access to your Wedding Website, a password is not recommended. No one but you can modify or change any information on your website even if you don't have a guest password. Plus, your guests will have a much easier time viewing your information without having to remember or receive your guest password.

If you do decide to add a guest password to your Wedding Website, which includes the online RSVP form, follow these steps:

  1. Click CREATE A PASSWORD in the Instruction section of the RSVP page.
  2. Select YES under the question, "Would you like to assign a Guest Password to control who can view your wedding details."
  3. Enter a password, select an optional hint question and click SAVE PASSWORD.

After receiving confirmation that password protection is on, click RSVP in the left column navigation menu to return to the RSVP page.

What is the difference between a "party" and a "guest"?

A "party" is the individual or family to whom you addressed your invitation. A "guest" is a member of an invited party. "Total guests attending" includes all invited parties and guests who accepted your invitation.

How do I modify or add responses, and assign place card names and table seating to the RSVP Tracker?

To modify any existing party's response, follow these steps:

  1. Click EDIT in the first column of the row of the party that contains the guest you want to modify.
  2. Highlight the information you want to edit and type in your desired changes. For example, if a guest who initially accepted your invitation later informs you he is no longer able to attend, highlight the "1" in the number column and type "0" to update his changed status.
  3. If you'd like to add a guest to this party, click ADD NEW GUEST TO THIS PARTY and repeat Step 2. You may add as many as 8 guests to any party, for a maximum 9 total guests per party.
  4. Click SAVE in the first column of the row of the party you've modified.

To add a new party's response, follow these steps:

  1. Click ADD A NEW PARTY at the top left of the RSVP Tracker list.
  2. Enter the guest's first and last name, place card and table number and select a meal preference, if any.
  3. If you'd like to add a guest to this party, click ADD NEW GUEST TO THIS PARTY and repeat Step 2. You may add as many as 8 guests to any party, for a maximum 9 total guests per party.
  4. Click SAVE in the first column of the row of the party you've modified.

How may I modify my views of the RSVP Tracker?

Guest responses are displayed in the RSVP Tracker by invited party name plus guests, in the order they are first received or created. You may view responses by the invited party names only by clicking INVITED PARTY after "View by" and change the sort order by clicking on any underlined column head to sort by that column. Clicking an underlined column head a second time reverses the sort order by that column.

What do the Email Guest and View Note icons indicate?

If you choose to let your guests RSVP online, attending parties have the option of including their email address and/or a personal note to you in their response. If either of thes items is included in a response, the corresponding icon is displayed next to the party's name to indicate it's availability. Clicking on the Email Guest icon uses your email application to open a new message addressed to the respective party, while clicking on the View Note icon opens a pop-up window displaying the respective party's note.
