PLANNING BASICS

Flower Basket and Ring Pillow Basics

Flower Girl Baskets

Your sweet little flower girl won't completely steal the show, but she'll come pretty close. The only mistake you can make here is to overload her. So:
  • Give her a basket that's appropriate for her size.
  • On rehearsal day, ask to borrow a basket from your florist and practice with your flower girl, filling the baskets with torn pieces of paper instead of expensive petals.
  • Make sure the baskets are as whimsical and girly as possible, so that your favorite little girls feel like fairy princesses.
  • And never underestimate the power of M&M's to get a real little munchkin down that aisle!

Ring Pillows

You're going to laugh, but we suggest tying two faux wedding rings to the pillow and leaving the real rings in the pocket of the best man. Again, make sure the pillow isn't too big. Cover it with fabric if you like, or have your florist create a pillow made out of leaves or even a bed of dahlias. Be original! We found some antique pillows at a local flea market that are to die for. You can also go to our Wedding Shop to order a fabulous ring pillow right now.
