What are other ways to include family and friends who aren’t in the wedding party?

A

The question of including family and friends who aren’t in the wedding party -- but may possibly feel slighted at not being included if left out once all your attendant positions have been filled -- comes up all the time. Consider inviting them to be ushers, train bearers, or guest book attendants. Asking friends and family members to read passages or poems, sing, hand out ceremony programs, or organize candid pictures or formal portraits are also great ways to include them in the wedding party. Presenting them with corsages or boutonnieres in your wedding colors will also make them know how important their role in your wedding is.
