How do I negotiate travel arrangements for my vendors?

A If you want to your vendors to travel with you to your destination wedding, be prepared to include them in your wedding budget. You’ll be expected to pay for their expenses. This includes plane tickets, meals, and hotel rooms for each vendor, and possibly their assistants. Talk to your vendor about how you should coordinate this, because some may insist on making their own reservations. It’s important to make sure they arrive at your wedding locale a day before the wedding -- even if they want to charge you an extra day for it. You’ll want to know they’ve made it on time and to leave room for any last-minute changes. Also research visas a few months ahead of time to see if your vendors have to apply for anything to allow them to work your wedding if it’s out of the country. Aug 06, 2009
