Does the Bridal Couple Coordinate Travel for Attendants and Guests?

A

Although not required, it is common courtesy to coordinate some type of travel plan for your guests and attendants.

When it comes to lodging, find a mid-priced, reputable hotel or resort and block out the number of rooms you think your guests will need. Usually, hotels will hold these rooms at a discounted rate without making you prepay. If your guests decide to stay at the designated hotel, they must reserve their room using their own credit card. This makes it convenient for them to get a reasonable rate and provides a way for them to coordinate lodging and transportation with other guests. In addition to blocking rooms, you should also provide an alternative list of recommended hotels for every budget.

In terms of airfare and travel arrangements, see if your travel agent can find a group flight discount. Your guests can then compare prices in case they want to find their own flights online. If you see any special promotions offered around the time of your wedding, alert your guests so they can book them as soon as possible.
