I don't want my groomsmen to wear tuxedos. What are the alternatives?

A If you want to skip the tuxedo because it’s just a little too formal, try black suits. If you want to further dress down your groomsmen, have them wear sneakers. Not their dirty gym kicks, but a pair stylish enough to pull off an edgy, dressed-up look. Another option that’s still dressy but a notch more casual is a gray suit. And if you’re really looking for something relaxed, consider khaki or seersucker suits. Your groomsmen don’t have to wear suits at all, though. For a beach wedding, for example, they can wear button-down shirts paired with khaki suit pants and flip-flops. Aug 06, 2009
