What's a junior groomsman?

Junior attendants are a nice way to involve younger relatives who have grown past flower girl or ring bearer age. A junior groomsman is a male member of the
wedding party who participates with the groomsmen but has fewer responsibilities, as he can’t help plan any bachelor party festivities. He can be enlisted to hand out programs as guests come in or act as an usher and escort guests to their seats, but all he really has to do is walk down the aisle with the others. Similar to a junior bridesmaid, the junior groomsman’s parents will pay for his wedding attire like they would for a
flower girl or ring bearer. If your 12-year-old junior groomsman looks old for his age or is especially tall, it might make more sense to just make him a regular groomsman because he’d be wearing the same tux or suit as them, anyway. He obviously still couldn’t go to or help plan the bachelor party, but other than that, his role wouldn’t change.
