What is a cake-cutting fee?

A When people say throwing a wedding can be expensive, they're not kidding. Did you know that many wedding venues charge an additional fee to cut and serve the wedding cake if your wedding cake designer or baker isn't employed by the site? The cake-cutting fee is usually just an incentive for you to use their in-house baker to avoid the extra charge; therefore, if you decide to have your cake made elsewhere, factor another $1.50 or more per slice into your wedding cake budget.
