Can Pets Be Incorporated Into the Wedding Ceremony?

A

Brides and grooms who can’t foresee getting through this special day without all family members represented are finding ways of incorporating pets into their wedding ceremony.

The easiest duty given to dogs is that of ring bearer. You can also incorporate your pet as a flower girl, or even as a bridesmaid or groomsman. It might be advisable to enroll your dog in a training school to find out what tricks he or she might learn to do.

Many churches or other religious institutions might not allow animals inside their doors, so it is essential that you check with your wedding ceremony venue before planning on using a pet as the ring bearer. If your ceremony is in a park or at a home (perhaps even a hotel), a pet can bring special meaning to the event.
