How Do You Find an Officiant?

A

If you’re a member of a religious congregation, then you should have no problems finding an offiiciant. If not, ask your wedding ceremony site coordinator or your wedding planner for referrals. You can also call places of worship that you have attended (and liked) to see if they have an officiant available for off-site nuptials.

Once you do find an available officiant, you should meet with him or her a few times prior to the wedding to ensure that your personalities and expectations are in sync. Some officiants also include a few sessions of premarital counseling in their fee, which can be beneficial to you as well.
