How long should the programs be?

A Your wedding programs shouldn’t be as long as playbills, but they can be anywhere from a page to a few pages long, depending on what you decide to include in them. Note that you shouldn’t use the programs as a place for long-winded biographies of you, your groom, or your attendants. They should be short and sweet guides to how your wedding ceremony will be held.

Wedding programs typically take the shape of booklets, but you can print them on single sheets of paper in any shape, or get creative and paste thick Popsicle sticks on the backs of the card stock to turn them into fans that will keep guests cool during a hot outdoor ceremony

Ushers can hand out the programs as guests enter the ceremony space, but you can also place them all in a basket for guests to take, or display one on each seat ahead of time. Aug 05, 2009
