Are There Different Ways to Wear a Brooch?

A

Although brooches aren't worn as much today as in years past, they can still add a delicate touch to your wedding day ensemble. While a brooch was traditionally worn pinned to the front of a blouse or dress, brides can use this classic accessory in new and creative ways. The most popular way to incorporate a brooch is to tuck it into your hair. You'll need to buy a special comb that can be attached to the brooch and affixed to your hairstyle. Don’t forget to bring it to your hair trial so your stylist can determine the best way to place it.

You can also display a brooch on your gown by attaching it near the waist or bodice. For a more subtle look, use a brooch to gather a section of flowing chiffon near the back of the waist. If you have a vintage heirloom that you'd rather not attach to your gown, try pinning it to the base of your bouquet or on your purse. Many brides even use this fashionable accessory as their "something old" or "something blue."
