Are There Fashionable Cover-ups for a Winter Wedding?

A Use the spirit of the season to reflect the elegance of winter in your wedding gown. Just because the temperature dips doesn’t mean you can’t don the dress of your dreams. You can still wear that strapless dress you’ve had your eye on, but make it cold weather-friendly by turning to heavier fabrics, such as Duchesse satin, brocades, crushed velvet, or taffeta. If your ideal dress comes in a lighter fabric, use a cover-up as an accessory. A shawl, shrug-jacket, velvet coat, or hooded cloak with faux-fur trim will look chic while protecting you from the cold. For warm hands, carry a faux-fur muff, which can be decorated with flowers or ribbon.
