If you want to be known as the bride who thought of everything, honor your maid of honor with a slightly larger bouquet than those carried by your bridesmaids. It's one way of expressing your love and appreciation for the special place she holds in your life.
Bridesmaids' bouquets are mini-me's -- smaller versions of the bridal bouquet with a splash of color. But feel free to mix it up and put your special touch to the arrangements.
For a monochromatic bouquet, select a bloom from your bouquet in a different color for each bridesmaid. For example, if sweet peas are your flower of choice, fashion one bouquet in soft pink, another in soft lavender, butterscotch yellow or pastel peach.
If you're looking for uniformity, wrap each bridesmaid's bouquet stems in a different shade of the same ribbon. Or wrap the stems of each bouquet in a creative way. Some with tulle. Some with ivy. This may take some extra work, but creating a personalized bouquet for each bridesmaid will touch your favorite gal pals' sentimental soft spots.
If this last suggestion is too costly, write a special note to each lady, letting each of them know what her friendship has meant to you. Ask your florist to attach notes to each bouquet before they are delivered to the bridal suite. Or include a great photo of yourself with each bridesmaid from your bachelorette party, or an old high school photo, to let her know how much it means to you to be with her today.
