What are some unexpected ways flowers are used at weddings?

A Flowers are one of the most important wedding details. There are the obvious decor elements like the bouquets at the ceremony and the centerpieces at the reception, but flowers incorporated in unexpected ways are often the key decor element of a wedding ceremony.

Petals can be scattered across the aisle before the bride walks down it, but they don’t have to be scattered haphazardly -- florists can arrange them into hearts or intertwining circles. Blooms are hung from pews or guests’ chairs, but you can hang them from a piece of fruit or mason jars instead of traditional pomanders. Huppahs can be entirely covered with flowers, or you decorate a whole wall with blooms to wow guests as they arrive at your ceremony. Wedding cakes can be adorned with flowers – real ones, silk ones, even sugar ones.
