A consultation is basically a test drive of your hair and makeup before the wedding takes place. You don't want to wait until the morning of the event to decide how to do your hair or which cosmetics to use. A consultation will give you time to try out different looks before deciding on your favorite as well as match your hairstyle to your veil.

When you arrive for your appointment with your stylist, you should have printouts of hairstyles and makeup looks that appeal to you, so your stylist has some direction. You should also bring your headpiece with you as well as a photo of your gown. When you return home after your consultation, try on your entire bridal ensemble to see if it works for you. If it does, take pictures so your stylist can re-create the same look the day of your wedding. If you’re not completely in love with the way you look, return for another consultation until you get it right.
