What Is the Correct Wording for RSVP Cards?

A

The RSVP card or response card is inserted with the wedding invitation and is engraved or printed in the same style as the invitation on card stock, in the following form: M_________________________
accepts _____
regrets _____

The favour of your reply is requested by July 11
The "M" should precede the blank line so that the guest can fill in the space with his or her title, such as: "Miss Chow" or "Mr. & Mrs. Cassini."

A printed, stamped envelope should be provided so that all the guest is required to do is fill in the blank, check off the appropriate response, and send off by the requested date.

You should avoid printing "number of persons" on the response card because only the names included on the envelope are the invited guests. You don't want to guests to misinterpret that other members of the family are invited as well.
