When should I send my wedding invitations?

A You should mail your wedding invitations six to eight weeks before your wedding date. You should plan to address your invitations no later than two months before the wedding. The rule of thumb is to allow another six to eight weeks for printing the initiations, so get an early start.

If you’re having a destination wedding, send save-the-dates as soon as you’ve booked the venue. And if you’re running off to wed on last-minute notice and it’s absolutely too late to send paper invites, the best way is to make phone calls or email everyone. Sep 11, 2009
