What Do You Serve at a Bridal Shower?
Bridal showers are only intended to “shower” the bride with gifts and well wishes. Try serving food that the bride loves -- let your theme be your inspiration.
A vegetable platter along with various types of cheese, chips with fresh salsa, brushetta, and sushi are just some of the ideas to choose from.
Signature drinks such as margaritas, martinis, or mojitos are all crowd-pleasers. Some nonalcoholic choices include strawberry lemonade and Arnold Palmers (half-lemonade/half-iced tea).
Besides offering an assortment of teas, serve dainty foods. Think little scones, tea sandwiches (triangles with the crusts cut off), and mini-muffins.
Belgian waffles, eggs benedict, pastries, fruit, mimosas (champagne with orange juice), and hash browns are all delicious brunch options.
Opt for barbecue dishes, like macaroni and cheese, chicken, greens, and mashed potatoes. Or try a picnic-style theme complete with gingham table clothes, where you can serve simple foods, like potato salad, sandwiches, and salads, all paired with a great wine.
Serve the bride’s favorite baked confection -- anything from a cake to cupcakes or cookies would be a delight. Mixed fresh fruit, cheesecake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and tiramisu are all scrumptious.
