How to Hire a Photographer: Last-Minute Checklist

It's the week before your big day. Gear up with our checklist and countdown to a picture-perfect wedding.

1. Confirm your wedding day schedule with your photographer and videographer and send them a written copy of what you agreed upon. Be sure to go over arrival and departure times, as well as estimated times for your reception entrance, first dance, cake cutting and bouquet toss.

2. Fax your photographer and videographer important information including the address and phone number where you'll be getting ready for the wedding, your ceremony and reception locations, the names and phone numbers of your site coordinator and photo liaisons, maps, parking and attire information.

3. Confirm your finalized shot list with your photographer.

4. Provide your close friends, wedding party and family with a schedule for the posed portraits. That way everyone will know where to be and when to be there.

5. Test any new skincare and makeup products at least a week in advance. If you have an allergic reaction, you'll have time to recover.

6. Get camera ready: Try to relax, get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water.

HOT TIP
To keep your eyes bright and clear, tuck a small bottle of eye drops in your evening bag. Just remember to wear waterproof mascara!
