How should I hire a photographer for a destination wedding?

A See if the hotel you’re thinking of choosing for the wedding offers a package deal. Many do! Expect to see things like photography, videography, food, flowers, cake, and transportation included if you’re looking at an all-inclusive package. If not, you can also bring a wedding photographer from home who you love along with you. Lots of local photographers will shoot destination weddings if the bride and groom are willing to foot the bill for their travel costs and other expenses. Just ask up front what their requirements are. You should expect to pay for the cost of either one or two assistants to travel with the photographer too.

If you have a planner who's either based or works often in your wedding locale, he or she most likely knows the best photographers in that area. If you hire one of them, you'd save money on the travel expenses. Aug 06, 2009
