How far can you expect guests to travel from the ceremony to the reception?

A

There really isn’t a specific limit to how far from the ceremony you hold your reception. But it’s important to consider how your guests will be traveling and how long it may take them to get from one to the other. If your reception site is particularly remote, include directions in your wedding invitations. If access is difficult, consider using minivans or a bus to transport guests there. If the parking lot is far from the site’s entrance, arrange for valet parking or a shuttle. Also, be sure there is adequate access for guests with disabilities.
