Finalist 19: Vitacosmopolita

My fiance, Bernard and I are getting married at a conservatory of music where my aunt, an organist, and music teacher, will play us down the aisle on their grand piano. Our recessional will surprise the guests as an Ethiopian children's choir will sing us out. As a teen and college student, I traveled to Ethiopia twice to volunteer and our guests will value how much a part of me the music is.

The men will wear gray tuxes and the women will wear two styles of a charmeuse fuschia gown. I can't wait to see our four, two and one-year-old flower girls in their fuschia-dyed petticoats!

Our other venue, the Milwaukee Public Market, is a nonprofit that is relatively new for weddings. It is a beautiful lofty space where our guests will mingle and dance all night. They will drink "Kellinis" instead of Bellinis since Kelly will be our last name. Bernard, who does stand up and improv comedy part-time, has planned table numbers featuring comedian names for our 120 guests to find their spots and to laugh and break the ice with their table "mates."

Since music is so important to us, we also hosted an engagement/RIP party to mourn our single selves where the DJ played a soundtrack of the last eight years of our dating and single lives.

Thank you for considering us and giving so many Knotties an opportunity to share their special days!
